A 98-ft 60-0? Dafuq? I know it has Brembos, but it weighs in at just under 4,000 lbs.

fucking car and driver. I should have read other magazines growing up. The only braking numbers that mean anything to me are the 70-0 distances. Sigh.

Stopping distances are primarily a factor a clamping force and traction. Certainly chassis and suspension dynamics help as well. Manufacturers have started equipping "sport" vehicles with grippier summer tires, which aid in stopping distances. Combine that with bigger brakes and more clamping force and you get pretty decent stopping times. 60-0 figures look good on paper, but what you really want to see is repeatability. Can the car repeatedly haul itself down from speed? That's a truer representation of a car's braking performance.

It's probably a combination of sticky tires, well sorted-out ABS/EBD calibration, and some magical jiggery-pokery with the magnetic ride control.

As for the car overall, I like it but there's absolutely no way I would buy a car with wonky capacitive controls for everything down to the HVAC. Give me buttons dammit.

Ah, the old magical jiggery-pokery. That's always the key.

Oh oh! let me guess!

You never had an N64 growing up. Instead you had an Atari Jaguar!

Kinja'd!!!

(for real though, this entire post was just an excuse to post a Jaguar controller. I like buttons for HVAC controls too)

Eurowhores: CTS is horrible, it's only for straight line performance.

Me: But the record at the 'Ring says...

EW: CTS is horrible, it's only for straight line performance.

Me: But have you compared the cars straight up, because the Cadillacs have really started to...

EW: CTS is horrible, it's only for straight line performance.

Me: But... Whatever.

Well, this European thinks he'd have it over any German competitor.

If he had the money, which he doesn't. At all.

This car really is the pinnacle of everything Cadillac have been doing recently in terms of exterior design. It's perfect.
